We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our andrology team on a part-time or per diem basis. The ideal candidate excels at the bench, demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, and performs with professionalism and independence in a highly regulated, patient-focused laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive semen analyses, including manual and Computer-Assisted Semen Analysis (CASA).
- Process, cryopreserve, and store sperm and testicular tissue specimens in accordance with laboratory SOPs.
- Maintain accurate documentation, quality control logs, and equipment calibration records.
- Ensure compliance with New York State Department of Health, CLIA, and FDA reproductive tissue regulations.
- Support specimen retrieval, thawing, and shipment coordination as needed.
- Contribute to the culture of technical excellence and quality assurance that defines our laboratory.
Qualifications
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License (required).
- Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience (andrology, embryology, or related fields preferred).
- Proficiency with CASA systems and manual semen analysis preferred.
- Strong organizational, observational, and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of laboratory and tissue banking regulatory standards (preferred).
