Payment & Cancellation Policy

At Bruce R Gilbert MD PhD PC dba New York Cryo, dba The Men’s Fertility Laboratory, we strive to provide convenient scheduling and transparent billing practices for all patients. To reserve your appointment time and ensure that our providers can allocate adequate time for your visit, the following payment and cancellation policies apply.

Payment Authorization at Booking

When you book an appointment through our website, a temporary authorization hold is placed on your credit or debit card.


This is not a charge. No funds are collected until after your appointment is completed and services are provided.

If your appointment request requires review by our team, it will remain in “Pending” status until approved. Once confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email.

If you choose to complete payment using a direct Authorize.net payment link sent by our office, your card will be charged immediately, even if the appointment is pending review. If a cancellation occurs after payment is made, a $75 cancellation fee will apply, and the remaining balance will be refunded in accordance with our Refund Policy.

If you prefer to avoid this immediate charge, please use our website checkout portal, which places only an authorization hold.

Cancellation Policy

Because appointment times are reserved exclusively for you, we ask that cancellations be made as early as possible.

  • Tuesday–Friday appointments: Cancel at least 24 hours in advance to avoid any fees.
  • Monday appointments: Cancel at least 72 hours in advance, due to limited office staffing and weekend scheduling constraints.

Cancellations made after these windows, or failure to attend the appointment (“no-show”), will result in a $75 cancellation or no-show fee.

Late Arrivals

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may not be able to accommodate your visit. A late arrival may be considered a missed appointment and may result in a cancellation fee.

All payment information is processed securely through PCI-compliant systems. No medical information (PHI) is shared with payment processors.

Failed or Declined Payments

If an authorization or payment attempt fails, a secondary payment method may be required to maintain your appointment.

No medical information is shared with your payment provider, and all payment information is handled in a secure, HIPAA-compliant manner.
